Project Details

Description

The SPADIS project aims to measure and better understand the social participation (SP) of people living with chronic diseases in Belgium. Social participation refers the engagement in activities or life situations that allow for interactions with others in the community or society. The SPADIS project is an initiative of the Cancer Center at Sciensano, in collaboration with VUB (Interface Demography) and ULB (METICES), and focuses on people living in Belgium with cancer, diabetes, neuromuscular diseases, cystic fibrosis, and HIV. Several distinct but complementary research methods are used in SPADIS to measure and analyze SP.
