    Project Details

    Description

Titanium is protected by a native oxide layer in environments which contain oxygen (air and aqueous solutions). Even when the oxide layer is damaged (by mechanical processes), generally it will be repaired instantly. The repair of the oxide layer can be influenced by various factors, like the composition of the environment and the mechanical loading.
