Description
The theme of this international conference is the so-called, Radical Enlightenment. The Radical Enlightenment refers to a distinct yet multi-faceted line of thought within the European Enlightenment movement, which puts great emphasis on political reform and activism, personal freedom, social equality, and critique of religion. The 'Radical Enlightenment' can be found in the work of several seventeenth(add hyphen) and eighteenth(add hyphen)century materialists, atheists, freethinkers, Spinozists and pantheists. The general objective of this conference is to push forward current research on the Radical Enlightenment.
