Project Details
Description
The purpose of this research is to evaluate recent communication, ranging and positioning technologies using UWB (Ultra Wide Band), BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and WiFi 6, as well as the role of Matter for achieving interoperability within an application.
The target audience includes large players building the development systems and chips, medium-sized companies as well as SMEs and startups that see the new technologies such as UWB and Matter playing a role in their application domain in the future or already offering solutions. It is estimated (also based on attendance at related events organized by IMEC Wireless Community) that about 100 companies will directly benefit from the project results in a 2-year time frame after the project.
