The purpose of the present study is to provide more insight in the specific role and characteristic of schoolsport in Flanders. An analysis will be made of the existing structures as well as of the content aspects of schoolsport (e.g. the evolution of the role of schoolsport; its specific characteristics; an evaluation of the existing program). Data will be collected through questionnaires that are handed to teachers and pupils of about 35 schools. Through the use of in-dept interviews, some experts will be confronted with the results and asked for their opinion.
