Towards a constructivist-network theoretical model of knowledge development

    Project Details

    Description

The goal of the project is to work out a computational formalism for constructivist knowledge development based on constructivist concepts of self-referentiality (Foerster 2003) and organizational closure (Maturana & Varela 1980; Varela 1979) on the one hand and formal network models such as random Boolean networks (Kauffman 1993), scale-free networks (Barabasi 2002) and small-world networks (Strogatz 2002) on the other hand.
