Validation of the Microgap Chamber Technology for Digital Radiography, specifically Mammography Applications.

The project aims at the validation of gas electron multipliertechnology within the industrial area of digital imaging systems.Specifically the project aims at the development of a new instrument for digital mammography. The new instrument will combine the Microgap Chamber 'Technology with a blue light photocathode capable of operation in a gaseous environment. The project addresses the present need for reliable, versatile digital imaging devices for medical applications.
