Ageing with cystic fibrosis: challenges for patients and team members

Research output: Contribution to journalMeeting abstract (Journal)

Abstract

Older(40+)people with cystic fibrosis(PWCF) were not expected to survive into adulthood. Life expectancy has improved to an mean survival age of50+ due to a multidisciplinary approach and modulator therapy. Along with these new developments an improved quality of life(QoL) has been observed. With an increased survival certain issues related to longevity are likely to emerge.
