Abstract

Background: Left ventricular opacification with contrast echo (LVO) is
well recognized for improving the diagnostic value of dobutamine stress
echocardiography (DASE), especially in difficult to image patients. It is now
recommended to use the lowest mechanical index (MI).
The aim: to test whether MCE was equivalent to LVO alone for the evaluation
of ventricular function during dobutamine stress test in a non-selected
population. The secondary endpoint was to evaluate the additional value
of myocardial perfusion (MP) with the MCE modality.
