Abstract

The paper presents thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) of combustion in air flow of hard coal, high-reactivity brown coal and their blends. Ignition point and burnup temperature of samples have been found from TG and DTG curves, combustion index has been found for all samples. Ti of hard coal has been found to be 457 °C, Ti of brown coal - 356 °C. Addition of hard coal to brown coal increased the ignition point, while the combustion zone shifted to the range of higher temperatures. The burnup temperature of fuel mixtures did not change and was in the same temperature range.
