Abstract

Managing quality and ensuring continuous quality improvement of existing and new ICT-based vocational adult education (AE) programs is the main focus of the research presented in this paper.
Regardless of their scientific merit, readily available quality reference frames for online and blended learning are either very generic or highly specific, and often based on experiences in higher education, while As a result of this scientific void, AE centers tend to adopt an individual and ad hoc approach with regard to quality assurance of their online and blended courses.
As the demand for online and blended learning is increasing, providers of AE and vocational education and training need more general, balanced, scientifically-grounded guidelines, measures and instruments to monitor all important quality aspects, to improve the quality of Online and blended learning and to support sustainable Online and blended education programs for adult learners.
