Abstract

This report is based on a five-month research project, which was undertaken as part of the Connect for Creativity project to explore the role that creative hubs might play in developing intercultural dialogue. This report presents research undertaken by the Creative Economy Team at Cardiff University. The research focuses on four countries: Greece, Serbia, the UK, and Turkey. We have conducted a survey in these countries among creative hub managers, creative hub members, academics, and local private and public stakeholders and analysed four case studies in more detail: the three project partners ATÖLYE in Turkey, BIOS in Greece, Nova Iskra in Serbia; and also Rabble Studio in the UK. Through workshops with experts in these creative hubs, additional insights were gathered.
