Abstract

The recent thrust towards machine-to-machine (M2M) communications and the integration of wireless sensor networks with the generic internet infrastructure via 6LoWPAN support at the Network layer call for the development of new data sensing and aggregation mechanisms that increase the efficiency of such networks. Especially in latest Cloud and Virtual RAN architectures of 5G technologies such mechanisms will be the motivation for enhanced capacity improvements with green energy policies.
