Efficient Flow and Noise Prediction of Counter-Rotating Open Rotors

Abstract

An hybrid approch based on CFD and the FW-H equation is developed for noise prediction from rotating blades.
The method is applied to noise prediction of counter-rotating open rotors. Quality and efficiency of the numerical method is investigated.
