    Abstract

The deliverable addresses issues concerning Internet privacy, identity, trust and reputation mechanisms taking data protection as its main and common focus. Data protection is considered not only in terms of legal constraints, but also from a social, economic and technical perspective, in order to point out the aspects that assume more relevance, mainly in the social networks environment. The analysis of these topics has assumed a greater relevance due to the debate related to the EU proposal for a new data protection legal framework. Such an ongoing legal reform concurred to the decision of framing privacy, identity, trust and reputation issues within the data protection framework.
