Abstract
The phenomenon of addiction has been studied in a wide range of disciplines, and there is a lot of contradiction and confusion regarding this complex issue, which indicates that research on this phenomenon may benefit from a new approach. I will assess the literature that applies the thought of Deleuze and Guattari in studies about drug use and abuse, and then advance some tentative suggestions for the elaboration of a schizoanalytic theory and therapy of addiction and drug consumption.
