Abstract

True physical modelling of a mixer is a tedious task. In this paper the true behavior of a mixer is approximated by a so called Best (in a mean squares sense) Mixer Approximation (BMA) for the class of Gaussian excitation signals with a given power spectrum (rms value and coloring). This class of signals includes random phase multisines and special modulated signals, such as W-CDMA, OFDM and QAM signals.
