Abstract
This model is developed for the Healthcare department of the Flemish government, by the Interuniversity Centre for Health Economics Research (I-CHER) group. I-CHER is comprised of researchers from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB), Ghent University, and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL). The purpose is to estimate the cost-effectiveness of possible breastcancer screening programmes. For this purpose, the model is able to simulate and compare scenarios, using as much real-world data as possible.
