Abstract

At the Belgian ARCELOR GENK company steel strip continuous electro-galvanizing process line, large network instabilities, associated with flicker, harmonics and mechanical resonance have been encountered under some process operating conditions. The paper describes the plant, the problems encountered and the way these were analyzed and solved.
