Abstract
This paper proposes an integrated framework for the sensitivity analysis of deployable planar scissor arches. The outcome of such an analysis lets us examine which geometric parameters significantly influence the structural properties of a scissor system, and to what extent. With this knowledge the designer can explore the parametric space efficiently, considering the relevant geometric variables, in order to eventually create competitive scissor structures.
