Abstract
Whether their work is based on theoretical studies or finds its roots in field
research or applied practices, increasing numbers of scholars, thinkers, teachers
and practitioners around the world have been examining the boundaries and
usefulness of spirituality in the lives of human beings. Indeed, many academic
fields--psychology, psychiatry, social work, nursing, medicine, early childhood,
secondary and post-secondary education, communication, management studies--
have had conferences, published professional journals and books connecting
spirituality studies to some of the leading edges of their works.
