Abstract

This special issue of the Career Development Quarterly presents summaries of the content and outcomes from the IAEVG--SVP--NCDA Symposium held in Padova, Italy in September of 2007. This symposium was themed and titled Vocational Psychology and Career Guidance Practice: An International Partnership. Included in this issue are (a) a summary of the Keynote Address by Annelies Van Vianen (co-authored with De Pater & Preenen), (b) summaries of seven of the eight working groups (discussion groups), and (c) conclusions presented by Donna Palladino Schultheiss and Raoul Van Esbroeck. Each working group was composed of at least one chair, at least one recorder, and several professionals from around the world who presented material related to the working group topic.
