Ledeberg op de kaart zetten

Advies en aanzet tot discussieplatform rond een integrale visie in
het 'Stadsvernieuwsproject Ledeberg' in Gent

In a first phase, Cosmopolis was asked to write a vision text for the redevelopment area
Ledeberg in the 19th century belt of the city of Ghent. This is part of a wider redevelopment
project in which for the first time counsellors of every sector (culture, economics, seniors,
greenery, health and education, city planning,...) are all together at the same time and in
collaboration working on a transversal innovative urban renewal project. From the office city
planners and cultural affairs the question came to make a cultural analysis of the
neighbourhood. This note based on desktop research was the base of an interdisciplinary
meeting with the counsellors.
In a further continuation of the work, Eric Corijn has been asked to guide the group further in
giving advice and to follow up the renewal project as it is an experiment in the way of
planning a regeneration project.
