Abstract
The NMBS is once again under fire, this time due to the retirement age of train crew members. The public debate is marked by an abundance of oversimplified arguments and selective interpretations of facts, with some experts and policymakers displaying a lack of understanding of these workers' working conditions. How justified is the criticism of the retirement age of 55 for train drivers and train attendants?
