Abstract

Experts deal with the gastronomy and festive culture of our royalty and of the Belgian nobility from the Middle Ages on. It collects 13 contributions (in French and English) and plenty of coloured illustrations. A large selection of a unique collection of menu cards is added, thus providing a nice survey of "menu culture" since the 1840s.
