Abstract

Cross-sections for reactions on Ga-nat, induced by protons (up to 65 MeV) and deuterons (up to 50 MeV), producing gamma-emitting radionuclides with half-lives longer than 1 h were measured in a stacked-foil irradiation using thin Ga-Ni alloy (70-30%) targets electroplated on Cu or Au backings. Excitation functions for generation of Ge-68,Ge-69, Ga-66,Ga-67,Ga-68,Ga-72 and (65,69)mZn on Ga-nat are discussed, relative to the monitor reactions Al-nat(d,x)Na-24,Na-22, Al-nat(p,x)Na-24,Na-22, (nat)cu(p,x)Zn-62 and Ni-nat(p,x)Ni-57. The results are compared to our earlier measurements, the scarce literature values and to the results of the code TALYS 1.6 (online database TENDL-2014).
