Radial and angular coordinate transformations for subwavelength confinement of light

Abstract

We propose different approaches to confine light in transformation-optical cavities. Starting from the invisibility cloak, we design several cavities based on radial transformations and we discuss how angular coordinate transformations can improve the design.
