Abstract

The research examines the possibilities of so called 'administrative' enforcement of planning law. It first makes an inventory of the difficulties in applying criminal law in the field of planning law. Further it looks to the possibilities and limits that the ECHR gives and sets to 'administrative' enforcement. After it examines the enforcement of planning law in France, England, Germany and the Netherlands. As a conclusion it formulates some remarks on how an administrative enforcement of planning law in Flanders could take shape.
