Abstract

Within this combined research the focus lies on the reuse of existing
façade components, as this is lacking in conventional practice today.
With our posters we reveal succesfull pioneering practices in N-W
Europe. Looking at the organisational structure within these projects we
search for case-based solutions to the recurring barriers. The poster on
the left shows a simplified overview of 4 case studies, comparing the
collaboration structures (through value network mapping) and material
flows. The poster on the right is a more detailed description of glass
refurbishment in a heritage project, i.e. the swimming pool of Stuttgart-
Feuerbach. The resulting project sheets from this research could
support all actors to better understand reuse practices and accordingly
increase reuse of a challenging group of building materials.
