Abstract
Special issue on the work of George Tabori, with an introduction by Inge Arteel on life and work of Tabori, followed by three contributions: Alice Le Trionnaire-Bolterauer writes on violence in Tabori's plays and considers this both from an anthropological point of view and in relation to theatre history; Monika Szczepaniak considers Tabori's theatre from the perspective of the emotional turn in cultural studies, analysing the ambivalent atmospheres and moods in his plays; Inge Arteel considers transmedial aspects of Tabori's radio play First Night Closing Night and their significance for the central theme of complicity.
