Spectral Methods for High-Resolution Pitch Detection

Abstract

The discrete resonance spectral representation provides improved frequency resolution compared with the standard Fast Fourier Transform. We present two techniques that are useful in signal processing and audio engineering: harmonic isolation in noisy signals and pitch detection in speech audio.
