Abstract

The power station of Cockerill in Seraing (Belgium) is a witness of mayor milestones in the history of power generation. It is particularly remarkable by its early use of engines and turbines fuelled by blast furnace gas, and illustrates the importance of autoproducers in the wider region of Liège in the twentieth century.
