    Abstract

When patients decide on which therapy to take for their own treatment, they most probably are influenced to large extent by the therapy description given by their physicians. This is called 'framing', as it was studied during the eighties and nineties by different social psychologists, however, exclusively in hypothetical cases. Likewise, we expect that the choice of words by the veterinarian will influence the choice of therapy by clients. An ongoing study regarding the veterinarian/client in real cases will not only confirm (or falsify) the results regarding human medicine, now in a realistic setting, but will also contribute to the objectivity of communication between veterinarian and client, and overall irrationality research in psychology and philosophy.
