Abstract

This paper presents the valorisation approach used within the EMSOC research project to disseminate and build upon the research findings amongst respectively together with relevant societal stakeholders. The EMSOC project aims at investigating the extent to which users are empowered or disempowered within a social media culture. Here, we focus on the strategy we adopt within the project, i.e. Use Cases to collaborate with stakeholders to improve the societal valorisation of the research within EMSOC. We elaborate the Use Case on privacy as a case study for this approach and draw some lessons learned form our experience with stakeholder collaboration.
