Abstract

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) allows financial comparison of different investment. Vehicle to Grid (V2G) technology opens a new market for electric vehicle (EV) owners. In this study, TCO of four EVs is calculated and subsequently V2G effects for EV owners are financially assessed. Thereby, a private, a semi-public and a public charging case, considering two different revenue streams (local load balancing and imbalance service) are evaluated. These V2G TCO range from 33.167,11 € to 61.435,63 €.
