Abstract
Won’t robots violate our privacy? For the moment, this is still largely a matter of conjecture, which is why we are engaging in this process of informed speculation. We are going to do this by examining how privacy has already been affected by existing data-driven technologies such as social media, the internet and computers. This shows us that there are two points for consideration. Firstly, transparency: what do we know about the way robots process our data? And, secondly, control: how do we control what robots get to know about us?
