The invention of the laser with the increasing in performance on computers open doors for holography to many fields such as microscopy, interferometry, and the light is steering now to futuristic 3D TV. The success of visualizing 3D scene in full-parallax in laboratory owing to computer generated hologram, promises for better future for 3D TV. But it still has some major diculties facing holo- graphic TV due to the huge amount of data and the limitation of the technology. Segmentation and motion estimation for holography might benefit many appli- cations such as compression and scene analysis. In this thesis, we address the problem of the computational load of the computer generated hologram. Then, we will see how it is possible to estimate the motion of a 3D scene based on the extended focusing image and the depth map.
