Abstract

This research explores how a portfolio approach to teaching and learning can support lifelong learning in order to bring people closer together and support a community of inquiry. Specifically, this research examines the three spheres of the portfolio approach - personal, community and competency - and investigates how each sphere can contribute to the growth of the individual practitioner and how, in turn, the practitioner can then align their growth with the needs of their communities, stakeholders and their own professional goals.
