Ontwikkeling van een intelligent binnen-zonweringapparaat

Translated title of the thesis: Development of an intelligent shading device

Student thesis: Master's Thesis

Abstract

The main objective in this thesis is to use the literature knowledge to develop a proprietary intelligent shading device with its advantages and disadvantages. Intelligent means that the blinds move according to the movement of the sun, unlike conventional blinds. Thus, the entire view to the outside, or at least parts that should not be blocked to avoid discomfort caused by daylight, is not blocked (\cite{ProjectInfo}). These intelligent blinds ensure that premises in a building can make best use of daylight without sunlight affecting working comfort. When using these blinds, there is less need for lighting on sunny days, reducing unnecessary electricity consumption and costs. The intelligent shading device we will develop in this thesis will be able to be used in 'single-user' offices. This means that only one person is present each time, which drastically simplifies the control of the shading device. Later, this development can be further developed by one or more future master students into an intelligent shading device for multiple people in a room.
