Description
The workshop is the first project milestone dedicated to the establishment of mutually defined aims, objectives and outcomes with invited academic and non academic partners. The participants shared their professional and research expertise in relation to the challenges posed by urban borderlands. The discussion was oriented towards the development of a method for concrete actions addressing the tensions underlying the production and reproduction of urban borderlands. The methodological document elaborated from the workshop discussion by the core group will be the base on which the operative phase of Borderland Brussels will be planned and carried out: the coordinators and the core group, together with the Brussels partners, worked during this phase on the Brussels context as the first ground for the experimentation and application of the Methodological Document, identifying a preferred/iconic/prototypical borderland and thinking with the Dallas collective which kind of installation and activities to plan and realize in the chosen spaces. During this phase, local actors (e.g. neighborhood associations, local NGOs) were involved to discuss the shape and function of the temporary installation in order to enhance participation and interaction.Periode | 19 mrt. 2021 |
