Consumer protection in the Cuban energy legal system is currently a problem whose solution demands new challenges and perspectives. This Research entitled: "Consumer Protection in the Cuban Legal System for Energy" has the general objective of establishing the need to create a comprehensive protection system that provides legal security to the energy consumer in our legal system.The research initially addresses the main general aspects of the legal protection of the energy consumer, first referring to its historical evolution and conceptualization, it also explains the need for each State to have a comprehensive protection system for its consumers, taking as reference the existing ones. Next, the regulation of the energy consumer is established in Cuban energy policy, evidencing the existence of legislative gaps to provide effective protection in the field. The legal-doctrinal research methods are used to explain the arguments related to the energy consumer and their need for protection, the Historical-legal to reveal the genesis and evolution of such a figure in the various legal systems, the Analytical-legal to analyze consumer rights and their correspondence with the existing socio-economic reality; as well as Document Analysis to carry out the initial exploration and information gathering.
