Daniel Arnaldo Duarte Pereira is a PhD student conducting research between the School of Architecture, Art and Design at Minho University, Portugal, and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). His research, funded by The Foundation for Science and Technology of Portugal (SFRH/BD/141372/2018), is supervised by Prof. Dr. André Tavares (University of Porto) and Prof. Dr. Marta Labastida (University of Minho) in Portugal, and Prof. Dr. Fabio Vanin (Department of Geography, VUB) in Brussels. As per his revised work plan, he conducted a one-year research stay at VUB from 1 March 2022 to 28 February 2023, further developing his investigation under the guidance of Prof. Vanin. This period allowed him to engage with VUB’s research environment, benefiting from interdisciplinary discussions and academic exchanges essential to his PhD.
