A symposium on the future of the clinical psychologist in Flanders with numerous national and international renowned experts. Various social evolutions determine the future of the clinical psychology profession. We need knowledge from both practice and research to optimally strengthen the mental health of citizens, in all their diversity. Recent scientific and applied insights can help psychologists shape evidence-based practice. This can include using evidence-based eHealth tools, investing in the therapeutic relationship and taking into account the specific needs of individuals who present with a request for help.
