On 17/03/2024, an infosession was held at the VUB, giving insights into the Engineering Sciences Bachelor program. Various researchs group of the Faculty of Engineering gave a talk (presentation and Q&A session) to high-school students and their parents. For the Applied Mechanics research group, the VEXO-Team (in which I'm a member of) gave a talk about the exoskeleton research that is conducted within this research group. We thereby demonstrated the working principle of various exo-skeleton designs, while wearing them, to show the students and their parents the usefulness of these devices. Afterwards, we showed what we, as a team of 5 Master Students, could achieve at the ASTM Exo Games 2023, an international competition between universities. This competition was held in Preston (England), where the VUB VEXO-Team got some nice podium finishes with our self-designed exo-skeleton. We showed the students and their parents that the VUB is open to student's intitiatives to take part at such competitions.
