Activiteit: Participating in or organizing a public lecture/debate

Two days straight (Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5), Savanah Héréus, Jeroen De Ryck, and I were present at the Nerdland festival in the Puyenbroeck domain in Wachtebeke. Together with Isabelle François from Health House, we were responsible for everything related to anatomy in a delightful anatomical theater. There was a digital dissection table from Anatomage present (thanks to Isabelle), along with some beautiful anatomical models and plastinates (thanks to our anatomy room). Even Etienne, the anatomical skeleton, was almost shy from all the attention.
I conducted fascinating anatomy sessions there on the knee, the wrist, the eye, and the ear. And a live dissection of a pig's heart. Jeroen and Savanah put on an exciting show for children on both Saturday and Sunday. So, both young and old had a fun and educational experience that they won't soon forget. The festival drew 10,000 visitors this weekend, with a remarkable 1,200 attending our anatomy sessions.
