The 'Legume Centre of Excellence in Food and Nutrition Security' is a VLIR-UOS sponsored IUC programme (KE2017IUC037A101) involving Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (Kenya), KULeuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. It is an interdisciplinary project focusing on different stages along the value chain of legumes, from breeding, postharvest storage and food processing until human consumption and its impact on human nutrition and health.
