Mobile Learning Week is UNESCO’s flagship ICT in education conference
Mobile Learning Week 2018 theme was ‘Skills for a connected world’. The event was organized in cooperation with ITU, the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies (ICT).
Mobile Learning Week 2018 focused digital skills gaps and highlighted policies and practices aiming to ensure all people - across socioeconomic contexts, gender, geography and language, can use technology and that no one is left behind.
The conference was informed by findings and recommendations of UNESCO and Intel led Broadband Commission Report entitled: Digital skills for life and work. Conference sessions explored how the skills gaps traced in this report can be closed, in addition to clarifying the ways affordable mobile technology can help learners cultivate a broader range of skills and competencies required to navigate increasingly technology-saturated societies.
