Unprecedented and Cumulative Lifetime Exposure to Climate Extreme - Application to Japan

Dataset created for a journalist from Nikkei (Japan). This dataset contains the unprecedented lifetime exposure to climate extremes based on the "lifetime exposure to climate extremes" framework (see Grant et al. (2025)), for six different types of climate extremes in Japan.

It also includes the absolute values of cumulative lifetime exposure to climate extremes (see Thiery et al.(2021)) for both Japan and the South Asia and Pacific region. A separate README file is provided to guide the analysis of the cumulative lifetime exposure results.
