De onderzoeksgroep EXPA brengt de klinisch-pathologische expertise van prof Ramses Forsyth samen met de meer fundamenteel histopathologisch gerichte expertise van prof Peter in’t Veld en herstelt daarmee de traditionele interactie tussen een klinische UZ dienst en de Faculteit in dit voor het (translationeel) biomedisch onderzoek belangrijke domein. Het zal niet alleen als core-facility voor histopathologie dienen, maar ook als platform voor het ontwikkelen meer klinisch georiënteerde testing ten behoeve van het translationeel onderzoek.
