Expertise
Dr. Catalina Iordache is a Senior Researcher at the research group imec-SMIT, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology) and member of the Media Economics & Policy research unit. She is currently conducting postdoctoral research in the PSM-AP: Public Service Media in the Age of Platforms project (funded by the CHANSE ERA-NET co-fund programme).
Her main expertise and research interests are:
- Transnational media flows
- Audiovisual distribution
- Streaming services
- Public service media
- Media policy and regulation
Dr. Iordache is also a Guest Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Solvay Business School, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She was co-titular of the course Media, Culture and Globalisation Theories (2022-2024) and is currently co-titular of the course European Media Markets (2024-), in the MSc. Digital Media in Europe programme.
